With an overwhelming amount of homework, extracurricular activities, clubs and other responsibilities, living a healthy lifestyle as a Marlborough girl can quickly slip your mind.  Here are some simple and nutritious lunch ideas to make your life a little less stressful.  Keep in mind these aren’t very big meals, and you should pack other supplemental snacks as well. Enjoy!

  1.   Caprese Skewers

What you will need

–       cherry tomatoes

–       basil leaves

–       small mozzarella balls

–       toothpicks

–       olive oil

Put it together

All you have to do is put the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil on the toothpick, in any order. Then just drizzle some olive oil on it and add salt and pepper to taste. That’s it!

  1.   Turkey Wraps

What you will need

–       2 tortilla wraps

–       4 pieces of sliced turkey

–       1 large tomato

–       lettuce

–       1 avocado

–       toothpick

Put it together

First, put the turkey slices on the tortilla. Then add the lettuce. Next, add the cut tomato and finish it off with the avocado. Lastly, put a toothpick through it, so it doesn’t fall apart. Make sure to put equal amount of food in each wrap! Eat up!

  1.   Greek Salad

What you will need

–       1 medium size cucumber

–       1 large tomato

–       A small handful of feta cheese

–       ½ of a small red onion

–       a small handful of olives

–       olive oil

–       lemon

Put it together

Cut up the tomato, cucumber, and onion. Add the olives and feta. Drizzle on the olive oil and squeeze on the lemon.  Add salt and pepper if you would like. You’re done!
