Alumnae play D-I basketball

Five of last year’s basketball players – Jade Smith, Talia Caldwell, Stefanie Corgel, Sabaah Jordan, and Taylor Ball – are now playing Division I varsity basketball.

Caldwell was the first to commit, accepting a full scholarship to UC Berkeley.

Sabaah Jordan and Taylor Ball decided to play at Columbia, Corgel at UC Santa Barbara.

Smith decided to study medicine at her top school, USC, and then added basketball to her busy schedule. She was given a spot on the competitive team after an intense two week try out.

“I really felt I had nothing to lose, but a spot that I didn’t have anyway. My support team of my family, my mom and dad especially, and even my best friend and former teammate Talia, truly believe in me but I knew I had to believe in me more,” Smith said.
