Sliding down a slippery slope strapped in small skis, bouncing a begrimed ball around a bumpy field, reaching for the right hold on the rock-wall––sports have been an important part of my life since I was very young.
This year brought some changes to the School uniform: instead of monthly free dress days, there will only be two per quarter, one being an actual free dress day and the other being a partial one, limiting the free dress to one item of clothing.
For the first time this year the Class of 2015 is creating for each student in the 8th Grade a “most likely to,” which is a prediction of what each student will do in the future, like “most likely to win a grammy” or “most likely to become president.”
It’s 4:00p.m. on a Saturday afternoon, and the chatter of tourists can be heard up and down Rodeo Drive, a popular tourist destination in the City of Angels and a central part of the romanticized view of Los Angeles portrayed in movies, television and tabloids.
The recent Middle School election served as one of the first applications of the new Marlborough School Student Constitution, which was implemented last February and revised the regulations for the election process and candidate eligibility.
The long anticipated Aqua Day, organized by Middle School Council and featuring aquatic sports, activities and games on Booth Field and in Caldwell Pool, is scheduled to take place on May 24 during A period and lunch.
