Marlborough held its annual semi-formal dance, a ’20s themed extravaganza at the Mark for Events in Los Angeles near Century City. Inspired by the elaborate parties featured in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, the Junior Class Council prepared the event invitations and decorated the photo booth with an art deco print featured in the book. The event included a dance floor and DJ, as well as appetizers for guests.

Junior Class President Kendall ’18 said one of the highlights of the night was meeting a magician, who was Ashley’s ’19 date. Kendall expressed her overall satisfaction with the night.

“This year, we just wanted to make sure that everyone had fun. Semi-formal surpassed our expectations,” Kendall said. “The DJ was great, the venue was beautiful, and I think everyone had a great time.”
