Bienvenidos a España!

If you feel like traveling to Spain on a moment’s notice but don’t have the money or time, Bar Pintxo is the perfect alternative. After sliding past the small, almost hidden door into the quaint and charming tapas bar across from the beach, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to España. The bar is located on Santa Monica Boulevard and Ocean Avenue, allowing you to feel the sea breeze and walk to 3rd Street Promenade after dinner if you want to stay out longer. If you like to be near all the action, there is seating at the bar in front of the chef at work. There are also a few high tables in the back; however the restaurant is for the most part pretty small, creating an intimate atmosphere. For a main dish you should order pintxos, tapas, or paella and for dessert be sure to try churros con chocolate, a delicious plate of churros that you dip into rich creamy chocolate sauce. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious.  It’s not only a good meal, but you can also pretend to be in another country for a few hours.  Enjoy!

Great restaurant! I think that Joe Miller of “Joe’s” in Venice is the owner. It is for sure the closest thing to a “tapas” bar for the Westside! Great atmosphere and great food. Unfortunately it is hard to get a table and crowded on the weekends. But it is not TOO pricey!

    I recommend it!
